Frequently asked questions

How much Energy does my address need?

About 65,000 Energy to send USDT TRC-20 to an address that already holds USDT, and about 131,000 to one that does not — a new wallet or most exchange deposit addresses. The amount of USDT you send does not change the figure.

Is it safe to paste my address here?

Yes. A TRON address is public information and the check is read-only: it reads the same account data anyone can see on TronScan. No seed phrase, private key or signature is involved, and nothing about your wallet can be changed by looking at it.

The checker says I have 0 Energy. What now?

Without Energy the network burns TRX instead — around 6.85 TRX for a transfer to an active address. Renting the same Energy for an hour costs 2.73 TRX, so rent it before you send rather than after the transaction has already failed.

Why does my address show some Bandwidth but no Energy?

Every TRON address gets 600 units of free Bandwidth a day, which is enough for a plain TRX transfer but not for a token transfer. Energy has no free allowance — it comes only from staking TRX or from a delegation. A USDT transfer needs both: roughly 350 Bandwidth and 65,000 Energy.

The address was not found. Is that a problem?

It means the address has never been activated on-chain: nothing has ever been sent to it. Activation is a one-time network fee of 1.5 TRX, which is added to an order automatically when it is needed.
